Right got most of the tooling required now for going in the 'watch' market, just need to know who to talk to about stocking up with batteries and of course which one's to stock, i.e. most popular sizes etc.

Had a great conversation in the chat room a couple of weeks ago, lots of great advice, jotted it all down on a post-it, now lost in the big clean up, sorry to go over old ground, but help would be appreciated.

20 of each 377 and 364.

and not forgetting 3v for calculaters and car remotes etc

10 of each cr1216,cr1220,cr1616,cr1620,cr1632,cr2016,cr2450,cr2430

20 of each cr2032, cr2025,LR44.

Not a complete list but sorts out about 99% of our requirements

hope this helps, if you need anything else just ask or pm me. Do you have a compatability list for watch batts ?

Get yourself a battery size chart similar to this using the numbers your going to be using. It will have slots in it to pop the battery through to make sure your fitting the right size (assuming the right size was in the watch in the first place of course!)

Some Batteries come in a high drain & low drain version. If you put a low drain in a watch that has say an alarm & stop watch & these are used, the battery will struggle to maintain the current & will falter quickly.

However if you put a high drain in a normal watch there will be no consequence so taking for example the top battery on the chart shown it indicates a 303 as being the same dimensions as a 357

There will be no need to stock the 303, just stock a 357

Next one down just stock the 386 & so on.

Jevon & Stanley, Charles Birch are good starting points for all your stock

Most popular batteries you’ll be using are 277, 364, 379. There are also some obscurities not on these gages, but always worth keeping at least one in stock off which are

44

751

337

Sr421sw

The only other thing that can catch you out is the 3 volt lithium watches, if it says “Timex indiglo” on it it’s a 3volt for sure. So also make sure you have a range of 3 volt batteries in stock. I have these on blister packs as I sell loads of them as well, most common on sale is the 2032 which also does a lot of electrical gadgets. But in watches your going to at least need to stock

1216

1616

1620

2016

2025

(lithium 3volt batteries are measured across the circumference 12mm 16mm 20mm etc & the width 1.6mm 2.0mm 2.5mm etc to get the number, so a 12mm diameter 1.6 thick would be a 1216)

Finally, don't turn anything away, pressure testing, glasses, movements, stems, crowns & dial markers etc etc can all be repaired. I offer a trade service on all these items.
