key cabin
Due to the increase of work I am in the market for a new engraving machine, so i had a couple of hours spare last week and out came the laptop. I contacted upteen machine manufaturers and asked the same questions, i wanted a machine that could do plates, glass, cups, shields and all the small things that i could do with my M20. The prices i got back varied from £23k to £8 and a half k. So i decided to have a look at a company i had not heard a lot about but was told by a fellow engraver that they had some good machines at reasonable prices. I contacted a chap by the name of Mark who was very curtiouse and very polite. He came round on Wednesday to show me the Universal 300 priced at a reasonable £8500. In all my years as a warehouse manager and locksmith engraver, i have never had such a profesional demonstration on how a machine can work. No question was left unanswered (and i asked a lot of them) he took his time to show me the in's and out's of the machine, nothing was too much trouble. He not only impressed me but impressed the wife as well (that is a very hard task) so much so she told me that i could have the machine right there and then. So to anyone out there who may be in the market for a new machine, you wont go far wrong to contact U-MARQ and just ask for a demonstration you may just be very pleasently suprised at what you can get for your money. Cheers Mark for a very informative day.

CotswoldEngraver
I have ordered the new CX-4 machine from U-Marq. I too can say how professional Mark was and as Key Cabin said nothing was too much trouble for him. I work from home and when i told himthe demo machine was to go in the spare room he didnt even complain at the obvious hernia he was going to get carring it up the stairs!!! I am waiting with baited breath for mine to arrive as it is due any day now and will post some pics when it arrives.

key cabin
Due to me going on holiday i had to put the delivery of my Universal 300 back, but i got it on Thursday, and my wife has not seen me since. I have spent loads of time getting to know the program, and to be honest after being shown by Mark i am finding it fairley easy. But as you go on you find questions you didnt ask but should have, so i will be on the phone Monday. I know for shure that Mark will just guide me through with ease. Cheers Mark for your time and patience. =D> =D> =D>
StevenB
So, a couple of weeks on, here's a pic of my new Universal 300. What a great machine! Some really nice improvements over my old one (but at least it's still the same size, so I didn't have to rebuild my cabinets). Note the control unit is now tiny compared to the old one, and is mounted on top of the machine, so I have lots of work space for my huge new monitor! Inside ring engraving attachment is briliant - and has already earned me money! The software is brilliant - very user friendly, but very powerful. Picture engraving looks like it will be a nice earner. Big thanks to Mark at U-Marq for his help, and a hearty recommendation to all for the U-Marq range of machines!
