Ok so I use the following companies for Window keys

Aldridge

sks

Nwkeys

Davenports

Between them they cover most bases but I am seeing an increasing amount of pre cut keys for window locks that don't seem to be covered by these companies, does anyone know any other companies that may fill in the missing gaps so I can stock a larger range?

Carl

I understand about cost of using retailers, OEM parts and so on,

many times that is the only answer for specific needs,

and that needs cost, plus margin / profit is passed onto the customer just like any other profitable business, ...take some business classes,

I explain to the customer about running a small business,  I am no different then a plumber, electrician, carpenter, realtor, banker...,

most folks have no idea what it takes and or what is required to run a successful small business, let alone any kind of business for that matter,

most folks live pay check to pay check,

if they do not like the cost, they are free to look elsewhere, welcome in, goodbye, have a great day and come back soon,

I will even suggest other locksmiths and or places to look in town, nearest city, and on line...,

in the majority of cases they come back for the service,

started learning in the 60s after school hours, have my own business since 1994, working on retiring now,

it's been a good fun run,  in my 70's now, parts are wearing out, time for more fly fishing & surf fishing,

enough gabbing, go put some coins away for your future

Great advise Howard, i do the same as you and always have.

Just purchased a surelock mcgill outside access device for a trade customer and it was close to £1k. Quoted and they ordered.

Thanks to this forum Peter and Count identified exactly what i was looking for THANKS guys.

Quite often most just don't want the hassle of searching to find something so are happy to pay.
