BIRCH OPEN WEEKEND

Had a really good trip down to Leeds at the weekend for the Charles Birch open weekend

so we were working on Saturday so finished work at 4 and 3 hours later we we arrived at hotel just round the corner from Birch warehouse, checked in got changed and went into city for something to eat and drink, after a superb meal and mojitos in the Turtle Bay restaurant and a small diversion down Greek Street we headed back to the hotel,

got back to the hotel around 11 and sat in the bar until the small hours trying to put the world to right.

Onto the day of the show, up and had a full breakfast as you do then off round to warehouse. The girls at reception got us all sorted with teas and coffees and then it was straight into the conference room, i was there for the Vibram seminars which were very well attended, the Vibram guys Andrea and Stefano were really good and boy do they know their stuff,  the Renia guy Stefan answered a lot of questions i had for him and i actually learned a few things (i know thats hard to believe)

Matt and Lee were there for Silca on their well kitted out van and again these guys were only too happy to answer any questions. The Trainer Armour guys Andrew and Martin were very well versed on their really good "patch" for trainers. The Angelus display was amazing and the craft and artistry by Adele on show was next level.

"Del boy" Dave Barbour tried his hardest to sell the clearance lines which again were plenty and at really good prices, plenty of people taking the warehouse excursion to see what bargains they could get. With everything on show and available to pick up and get your hands on it made you realise that we need these events in our industry.

The refreshments on offer were outstanding with a double decker bus offering FREE beer along with freshly made pizzas from the back of a land rover and a hog roast all courtesy of Charles Birch made this a great day out. i have to applaud Chris and hist team for making the weekend happen well done.

Have to agree, well done to all the staff who gave up their day off to put on the open day. First visit to C.B. for me and must say it was very impressive.
