Flash
With the ever increasing method of E.mailing invoices, statements, credit notes e.t.c. are we obliged to print all these things out and retain them for V.A.T. purposes, income tax and general accounting or are we allowed to store them in I.cloud? Just a thought. Flash.

Michael
What happened to the good old days when people came into shops to buy things and pay straight away rather than take stuff and pay 30 days later!!
rapidlocks
as long as you have them stored for inspection if required , or stored so you can print them off if asked to do so , then i suspect this will suffice , though if audited accounts , the accountant may well require visual evidence depending upon the accountant . though if dealing with the revenue , then what ever you do will probably be wrong Mike at Vauxhall

rapidlocks
if you get an audit , they will advise , as long as you can print all out if required this should suffice , at end of day you just need to prove the purchases are legit if asked to do so and show evidence , how this is stored i cant see be an issue . i had a PAYE compliancy audit a few years back , i was told exactly what they wanted to see and when , so i printed off everything they wanted to see and they was happy with this x minit uk
Broms Cobb
This appears to be common thought, I can't find a definitive answer, all I know is i am spending more and more time on none productive paper work. Same for us all, I used to spend almost a day every couple of months on top of usual paperwork trying to keep it all in order. Then on a chance conversation with someone found that just paying £100 a quarter it was all done for me, employee stuff vat everything - never looked back and stopped wasting my time with it all. Get a quote from either your accountant or local book keepers Is your time important? that is all you have to think, I pay these people and clear off on the motorbike keithm
