Simes
I got this enquiry yesterday? Although he mentions a piece of tin he does say or something else heart shaped. Just wondered what ideas you might have? "I would like a piece of tin engraved with some nice words for my wife on our 10th anniversary Do I find some tin or can you supply? Either like a shabby piece of tin or a shape like a heart or something"
derek
would it be possible to cut a heart shape out of a piece of aluminium using your engraving machine, i have cut out heart shapes on plastic laminate, your other option is to engrave the outline of a heart onto a piece of aluminium and then hacksaw the shape out, file the edges smooth and engrave onto that. or flatten out a can of family size beans and try to shape it the same way as the 2nd option i gave, apart from that i am stuck
StevenB
Is Tin the celebration for the 10th wedding anniversary? This being the case, trophy aluminium might not quite do the trick... I'm not sure what you could use that is entirely made out of tin, but remember pewter is approximately 90% tin, plus a few other bits & pieces
Count Muppet
10 years is tin or aluminium. I would have thought trophy plate would cover it

Mick Friend
Modern tins are coated to stop them corroding any cut into this would allow the moist air in and oxidise . oxydise - oh FI - Rust
