StevenB
I've never come across rubber ¼steels, always only PVC or leather. Someone out there will know if they exist...

Paul_
I have been trying to get these produced for years! The problem is that it is only the uk Market that wants them. I had a conversation with a rubber manufacturer in Spain and he couldn't work out why I wanted a rubber heel with a metal tip, he thought I was going mad! Birch had some about 3 years ago but these soon went and never been available again. I sent a sample (an old combinette and a PVC heel with 1/4 steel) to a manufacturer in China last month. He is looking at whether he can make something. Watch this space, but it may be years until I get them!

Gray
In the old days we used to buy the 1/4 tips separate and make our own in leather or rubber....You've just become a big bunch of soppy girls and want everything done for you...
