Simes
I have been doing a little research today to see whether there is any scope to sell engraved items on ebay. My conclusion has been that nobody is making money doing that. It seems there are lots of people selling lots of engraved items but at little or no profit. I expect that if they are making profit they must be buying direct from wholesalers (probably China) rather than through the normal trade channels and at massively reduced cost. Any thoughts or comments?

Rizla
Agreed! Been there... Done that.... & left A couple of years ago you stood a chance if you knew 'WHEN' to place your adds but then they changed all that and their listing is based on an algo that was unfair. It can end up costing you a fair bit of dosh for nothing. As it's been said before... The place is full of busy fools (in most cases)
Simes
That's what I figured, although if you import direct I think you might be in with a chance of making some money.

hibsjo(SCO)
The answer is to inflate your prices sell something that is not the norm and you can make money the downside to that is so will ebay/paypal carry on!
CotswoldEngraver
We sell on Ebay, I agree it has become very difficult recently to make any kind of real profit on there due to others under cutting all of the time. Trying to build up our website sales to replace Ebay but that is an uphill struggle too when the only way to get high up in the google rankings is to spend a fortune on adwords! Looking at moving to Amazon at the moment, anyone sold before on there?
