stevecoco
I think your right Graham. I was at a museum in Glasgow and saw these on a display and thought I would take a pic or 2 to show how far the technology has come, mind you it appears the method has not changed all that much. I thought you lot would like a laugh as we are now isolated from the rest of Europe. (what a load of pish, well done Cameron)
elfman
laugh as you may .but i have actully used that there make of machine and i can tell you this it does a very good job in the right hands and you can easily fit a dust extraction system to it and the bottem scourer is execellent .the only thing missing from the one in the picture is the oscilater and the gas taps for melting the wax sticks
elfman
should have added that the machine was still in use up to 2001 and a few of us were very annoyed when the new factory manager decided to scrap it
slippy
Actually had one of these in my dads shed until about 6yrs ago, Extraction built in (sort of). Was going to re-wire it as it had all the switch gear in the front. Had nowhere to store it.
Mick Friend
Bugger! Then is my correspondence course in shoe repair a waste of time then? I was having a wonderful time with a mouth full of nails and glue sniffing, and sweaty shoes Oh Joy!
