car remotes \ remote key

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

After I bought the ls7 and first blank and chip stock I realized that there is also a large demand for remotes and key remotes , I understood that each car has its own way of adding remote - usually the difference is mainly in the no. of times you need to turn the ignition on and off, is there a book I can buy that tells what is the way in each car model? or any file that runs across the internet, I've tryed to look for a one in this forum but didn't find anything..

My second question is regarding the financial part , I now understand that you can spill huge amounts of money but there is never enough - I first thought that a good cloner and some blanks and chips will be a good begining but everyone want also a remote, and you have to have everything so you will never turn down a client, and also advertising that is more important then everything ... when do you know to say "stop"? or what is enough in this field?

Your asking the same questions over and over and my guess is there's many more questions coming, use a search button and get some training.

It's taken some people years to collect information, and you asking for it on a plate. Talk to suppliers, you cant do what you want to do on the cheap.

as far as I remember I've never asked those exact questions before, I asked about transponder keys now I am asking about remotes.... I have used the search button but did not find.

anyway from a web search I found these things, have anyone used them ? does they worth anything?

Hiya Barak

You must realise that ALL forums are inundated with people trying to find out information on how to do the job people have taken years and hundreds of mistakes to find out how to make a profit. While you ask questions, they do not seem to have been researched and that's why my friends seem a bit sharp with you - There is a culture in the UK of find out how to do it - do it cheaper - run the nice guy out of town - then screw the bastaards as I have the town to myself

The locksmithing and allied trades have enjoyed a surge in 'council house' businesses offering to do the job on the way home from collecting the dole, school, reporting to the police station at beer money prices.

Now I'm not tarring you with this brush,No offence meant to anyone, well almost anyone - if you are a genuine bloke do some homework contact the manufacturers website, arrange to go on paid training courses - get catalogues, read and research then ask the question how do you find xswift key and chip against yswift have you had any problems with the squiggly thing on the back that drains the tea bags? hope you get my drift - research, learn ask and move forward - please dont expect anyone to offer you their livelyhood in a box.

Good features in my mag this month on auto -locksmithing anyone read it (Lee you owe me a fiver)

ok.... everyone seems to be real angry at me, I thought when I saw this wonderful forum that the main purpose is sharing knowledge, I off curse not assume to get anything on a silver plate nothing like that , what I have asked for that if there is literture that I can get or buy I will more than happy to know about, there is tons of websites that teach you all kind of stuff regarding auto locksmithing but most of them are from the US and not fit the european market - this is why I am here , I guess that the britains car market is very similar to the Israeli one, so I will also appreciate it if anyone can just direct me to where can I buy online books regarding the auto field.

Once again, I do not expect anything from anyone - if you can help - great, if not that's ok as well.

I am willing to donate from my knowledge too, I am the 3rd generation in our locksmith shop that is estavlished 60 years ago, we are dealling a lot with multlock cylinders, and high security locks and safes - so, if I can help anyone with that I will be glad to do so...

Hi

You should look on Ebay, they have loads of people who will tell you how to program keys and remotes on there, also you can buy remote controls and keys with only one careful previous owner too.

I hope I haven't given away too many trade secrets!
