Forest Cobbler
I've just done the change port thing. Genius. Thank you thank you thank you. Still got the RW4+ update to sort out, and the system restore issue, but that can wait for another day.
Forest Cobbler
Some while ago someone told me how to update this edit box so that a button with the letter A appeared in the top right corner, which could then be used to change the text from upper to lower case without having to retype everything. Unfortunately, since my fall out with the computer / comm ports / RW4+ Mbox / engraving program on Friday, this is one of the updates that I'm going to have to do again. I have a search through the Vistool thread and cannot find the relevant post, so please can someone remind me what to do. Thanks, Valerie

Paul_
God knows what has happened but somehow when i go to set up a job the only option it gives me is "Flatbed" and not other options such as "Cylindrical Engraving" or whatever else is usually there? Any ideas how to get the other options back? Have called Mike @ UMarq but he's on holiday until Wednesday.
Michael
Have you tried wizard - New device or delete device at the main toolbar?
Gray
Check wizard set up defaults to make sure your machine is listed there.

Paul_
No idea how but the software had changed the model of engraving machine to one that only needed that type of workspace. A simple "run as admin" and change to the universal350 and job done. Gray
windycity
hi all would it be possible for someone to explain how to save an very old job from vistool version 6 onto a memory stick, so that it can be used on newer software please. Michael
All my jobs are in a folder in Libraries - Documents - Vistool 8 - Universal Engraving 8 - Jobs I'm sure they all went over automatically when I upgraded from Vistool 6. I think a right click - copy and paste to either a USB stick or just to desktop if using the same computer, then do the same back into the Vistool 8 jobs folder would do it.
