i wouldna do em!

they are rubbish (in my veiw) and customers seem to think they are 'priceless' and expect a 'perfect' job

we sew them up at the side back etc; and charge a lot as they are time consuming, but if anyone asked to dye them firstly refuse but if pushed to do, i would really charge,

answer same as planets, suede + nubuck!!

carry on....

Did a pair last week , used tarrago Dye , went from light tan to dark brown , job looked easy , however wish we had never took it on , really hard to prepare before dyeing , customer had used a protector at some time without telling us, each boot took 3 bottles ! , 6 bottles in total , first few coats dried really patchy and took ages to dry, hard to bring the nap back up as well , especially where boots had rubbed during wear.

Customers only want to dye these to cover stains when they get grubby , stains can be anything from Alchol or Grease, to bodyfuilds , usually a combination of all three.

Avoid the job if you can , or just sell them the dye , but make sure you have plenty in stock, they will be back for more
