Lee
I took my window display out when I refitted. the reason was I was lazy at changing it & decided an open window to view the area in side was more beneficial. I do move a area to put in a "fresh" display at certain times of the year, especially Christmas, Mothers/Fathers day etc I find this catches more attention. k4mrc
strangest thing is i used to have the 'zippo' cabinet took pride of place - i sold loads even had 4 large cabinets spread over the retail area but recently my staff moved the remaining cabinet out of the window - i went mad! so to actually see the lighters customers have to call in, were selling almost every day - it hasn't done our sales any harm! after nearly 20 years of trying to push zippo sales by having them in the window it has opened my eyes and given our other products a better chance! We took our zippo stand out the window and sales dropped so put it back in and sales have gone up again You cain't beat a good zippo sell, You sell the lighter then the fuel and flints and a wick. Then you tell them for £8 you can engrave it. By the time they have finished you have doubled the original price of the lighter
