keithm
I remember Pocock Bros at the Elephant & Castle before Marshall bought them. Good bunch o'lads down there, in fact if I remember correctly, one of them is still with them, he used to take orders over the phone etc. Was it Tony? Bugger me, can't remember, gettin old is a b*****d. What about Victor Baldwin? Good old Chris and Vicky, old George who used to like a whisky or six, Famous Grouse it was. The girls there where great to, both called Sarah, I think I went out with one of them there, got me mamory back, sorry memory. Women ......... Bontoff
Yes -there were many good wholesalers around in those days. But there are plenty of good reliable friendly new ones-such as Ed Healy,Colledge,Leather and Grindery,Overstone and Savvas Georgio.
