I have a dual purpose, they are good machines but wont do warded mortice, so you will need a seperate machine if you want to do these.

Yup, that's basically the main limitation, generally we suggest the dual purpose machines if you're starting up or you're short of space in your shop/van. The nice thing about the Cyclone original model is the price is about the same band as a mid-range cylinder machine so even if after a few months of trading you decide to get seperate machines, you can keep the Cyclone quite happily as your cylinder machine and add on a mortice.

If you want more info, just drop me or Technical John a PM/email/call.

hi there

just starting and wondered if I should buy a dual machine to cut cylinder and mortice or two machines one cylinder and one mortice. hope this is in the right forum. any advice welcome

the best advice i could give anybody, is dont buy!

purpose built machines that are dedicated to each type of key are millions of times better!

many thanks for the info, as i understand what you are telling me seperate machines are a better option as I dont have a space problem and and difference in cost is not the primary issue for me, at this time.

Once again many thanks for the info hope I can help one of you in the future

Regards
