Michael
Might start thinking about a new cylinder machine to replace my 2 very old ones (one's at least 20 years old the other even older!!!). I see some of you guys like the Silca machines, been looking at the Bravo Professional or Maxima.Would love to hear your honest opinions on machines and prices. Lee
I brought a "Retro" from Davenport Burgess they describe it as BASIC RELIABLE WORKHORSE THAT SETS THE STANDARD FOR THE 21ST CENTURY I wouldn't argue with that! nice easy fast machine to use, easy to adjust (should it need it!) & I would thoroughly recommend it! current list price on their website is around the £800 mark. http://www.davenport-burgess.com/pdf%5CKM1106_dtl.PDF Lee

Lee
And the jaws open up wide enough to piggy back keys so you can cut two at the same time (which was a little trick K4Mrc taught me recently, thanks!) Lee
Auto Key Wizard
so you can cut two at the same time This method is best performed by copying from original keys only, duplicating from copy keys will give errors
k4mrc
This method is best performed by copying from original keys only, duplicating from copy keys will give errors sorry i dont agree! only if it is a very worn key will it not work! 99% of the time one can, 'piggy back' but yes - if you have a 'non worn' original or copy - its fine! i use this system all the time. Guest Cjm
We would recommend either the Carat Quattro or the Retro Easy cylinder machines. If anyone needs any information on either of these machines emailing, please let me know. Thanks.

If you're after modernising your machines, then I'd agree that the only real options on the market are the Silca Bravo Professional or Maxima. They're nice machines but have a price tag to match. Michael
Is the few hundred quid extra for the maxima worth it just for the digital calibration or is there any more to it?

Craig I also Agree ...... If you are after a good machine - Reliable - last for the same sort of time ---- etc . I would also say your best bet would be the Silca Bravo Professional ...... Note the Bravo Maxima is a very nice machine as well - BUT the differance between the two Bravos is not worth the price tag differance!
