TITs
Funny how you should mention that, After all the mucking about I was introduced to CW of CB and I told him his keyboards were crap and I was going to change to another company, He agread with me and said that the "Old" boards that I had were crap and the new ones on display were much much better if i used the new keyboards I would find the new style much easyer. So i said fine send me 7 new boards and I will give it another go, Well thats when the fun began, you would think that if you had 7 old fashioned boards and replaced them with 7 new shadow type boards you could swap all the old ones onto the new one? Wrong, about 50% of the old keys are not on the new style pegs, I spoke to him after and he says " A lot of the old keys dont get asked for anymore" In short I have to buy nearly 4 new boards worth of keys. He must have known fine well I was going to need a whole load of new keys when I ordered the new style boards so why not just tell me rather than have us standing looking at these old keys and trying to find where if at all the fit on the new ones.........................Hmmmmmm
Danny King
Why not make your own Keyboard, With have, it is taylored to our needs and we stock the keys we need. Not what the surpliers think we need.

TITs
Im lucky if im in the store once a week for 10 min, so I need it to be as simple as pos with a company to offer tech help for when the staff gets stuck, at least with CB when they get the key dept to pick up the phone they get a bit of help
Danny King
I see, I have never used CB for keys, Always use Davenport and NW Keys. You must trust your staff... If you only pop in the shop for 10 mins.....

hibsjo(SCO)
I have seven CB boards and they are filled with the keys I sell. not the ones listed on the board all others are hooked alphabetically on the same boards. Of course you are going to have old stock everyone does but list it and put it away for when you need it. I think the CB boards are very good and look the part. kobblers
we originally had the orange davburg keyboards but we found that there were a lot of keys that just didn't sell. we bought ourselves some pegboard and hundreds of hooks and made our own t'was much simpler, especially since we had a labelling machine which meant we could put silca and hd codes above each key for easier reference. it also meant we could get more keys in the same area of space that the old boards took up due to the way you fit the hooks. it's gone a bit untidy over time so we will be replacing it in the new year with a better one, minus the keys that haven't sold for a while and with proper spaces for all the new blanks as the board we have now is crammed with new keys in odd places which makes it difficult as you can't see the woods for the trees. for 3 years now i've been 'getting round to' making a custom key catalogue just for the keys we carry, complete with all the alternative codes under the profiles. one day......
