securefast ?

securefast mortice blank B571 + B572 (dav burgss)

both 7 pin - one has cuts on side of bit

other doesn't, i keep in stock one with cuts in side.,.,

allways work so why is there 2 blanks!

whats the k difference??? :roll:

we just stock the b571 for both these keys, being only a little shop and needing all the space we can get it's a sacrifice we've had to make, besides it doesn't matter unless yer a puritanical key cutter :lol:

 

we also use the b440 for both versions of the five lever union, that is the one with two side cuts (b440) and the one with only the one side cut (can't remember the bloody code :oops: ) 8)

No difference k49999,

Some locks have lugs on the inner casing, the cutouts need to be there to bypass these lugs.

If the lugs aren't there it doesn't matter

 

did know this of course, but wondered why manufacters have made 2 key blanks for the same key? probaly best i as "napster" but i bet even he dont know! -

yes one blank will do both jobs (b571) but

you have to go with manufacturers designs..

when they went to bs3621 they have to increase the

differs in the lock so have to use a bolt thrower or

curtain which means deeper cuts nearer the edges of the key

hence a weakness if sidewards are used .....

therefore no need for them....OK....
