I am one of the very few locksmiths in the country who take on Motorcycle jobs, and I would suggest I am one of the very best. I don't know anyone who uses Miraclone for bike jobs, I doubt you know why but the lads capable of doing the job know exactly why they don't use it.

I'm also one of the minority that do motorbikes, I'm also one of the best, but I don't use Miraclone either...

There seem to be a few of us on here that do bikes.

If your working on Bike ecu's they are not the easiest things to deal with. So if your not used to dealing with them it's worth getting a couple of scrap ones to play with first.

You will see more Hondas than anything else. No software shows you the locations of all the EPROMs in these ecus so if your not sure then ask I'm sure one of us will help you.

Also closing them after having worked on them is a consideration many over look. I personally use a pcb spray sealant then a layer of silicone then finish with a black two part Polyurethane plastic so you can hardly see I've been there. I've seen plenty that have been worked on previously and left with the pcb exposed to the elements.

The picture attached is a Honda cbr600 ecu that I sorted out last week for a customer who sent there ecu of to a company in Poland to have new keys made. They received it back as shown in the picture with the keys cut wrongly and the ecu looking like this. Not only that they hadn't even opened the ecu in the correct place or programmed the keys! This ecu has the keys stored in the MCU on the other side of the ECU.

Hi all,

anyone have a miraclone they would like to sell??

Not bothered which packages it has on it.

Pete,

This is not a sales avenue for you, I offered him impartial advice which he is free to take or leave at his discretion.

All you ever post is advertisements for your products.

I am one of the very few locksmiths in the country who take on Motorcycle jobs, and I would suggest I am one of the very best. I don't know anyone who uses Miraclone for bike jobs, I doubt you know why but the lads capable of doing the job know exactly why they don't use it.

But I am willing to be proven wrong, I did yet another Goldwing last week, 2010. From the Miraclone Helpfile...

Where is the immo, what chip is it, which Miraclone module is needed?

I refrained from posting exactly which tools and modules the OP needed out of professional courtesy, if you don't like the fact that the Miraclone is vastly overpriced for the coverage it offers then drop the price or increase the coverage, don't moan that someone pointed it out on an OPEN forum.

I agree with Peter and think he was asking about one of his machines and not general advice. I think he should of replied, rather then just to leave it.

The balance on here from the suppliers is very good, generally trying to help rather then to sell. With the one exception of one spammer who was spoken to about high jacking threads I can't think of anyone else who has over steeped the mark. That said about spamming he has put a lot of videos and bits to help people with his machines, he is also there for answering questions. Your personal issues with Peter/Neil will make other suppliers think twice be commenting.

Not sure you would of responded the same if it would of been about an RW4 or something else.

What we don't want is suppliers not contributing or being scared to because of how it will look or thrown back at them later.

I think if people ask or got problems then why shouldn't a supplier not respond.

I'm sure you will disagree and come back with a long response and some shit trying to prove me wrong, with or without the help of your two mates but I felt it had to be said. (I just don't know its you your Matt all the fucking time)

If a forum member is about to buy a machine and I know of a cheaper option that will give the same or better coverage with the same or better reliability you can be sure that I will do that forum member a favour and inform them.

This forum is built on co-operation and advice, I think Locksafe is correct in highlighting there were and are better options available for his particular conundrum.

Im sure we all value the input of suppliers but at the end of the day this is a forum where we all discuss options for jobs and work and we help each other out not just to make money but also to save money
