kobblers
I personally normally shorten them by about 2/3s and I never get any back They should make the damn things shorter in the first place. Rick.
grahamparker
Sometimes you have no choice especially the really small diameter tubes.
Simes
Sometimes you have no choice especially the really small diameter tubes. I concur. Don't like doing it but they seem often to be just a couple of mill longer than needs be. I think it it often just the pointy bit on the end that needs to be shortened. They seem to have got longer since I started shoe repairing in the 80's
kobblers
i spoke to Philips' rubber about the pins being too long and they said they'd look into it. That was over two years ago at the Cutting Edge exhibition You'd think it'd be in their interests to have shorter pins as they would save on the ever increasing cost of metals used. Maybe start a petition, lol. Rick.
