In last shout Stan the man complains about deaf customers BUT - I always asked for the key to be seperated - That way when the copy didn't fit because they gave YOU the wrong key it wasn't my fault that I took the wrong one from a bunch. Ok if its the only cylinder key on a ring but when they had bunches.....

What always amazed me was the coined HD 'Lock Doktor' keyblank that morphed into a 'Timpson' - or whatver blank between me cutting it and them getting to their door and it not working.

I always tell them to leave it on. They can faff about for ages trying to get it off in which time you could have cut 3.

I always pass it back to them stating which one is which to confirm the right one was cut before they get home and change their mind.

Hello all

when a customer comes in to me and starts arsin around with a bunch of keys I usually ask to take a look at the key they want cut. that way I got the bunch and the punta has id the key.

KEEEEP IT ON `DA RING ! ...when I`m on my own and theyre 5 deep in the shop ,I havent the time to wait for pensioners or women with £25 manicures to faff about !

As others have stated - you can cut 3 others in the time it takes for us all to wait for some bellend to insist in taking 1 key off - for 1copy :x

While they faff about taking the key off i just serve another customer or carry on with what i'm doing.

If i ain't busy at the time it makes no difference. though its the ones who insist on taking it off because they probably think your going copy the lot and go and visit them in the night that get up my nose.

There's nothing as queer as folks.
