Happy Dude
Hi guys, can anyone tell me where i can find a supply of this key, it was used by a council contractor for a long time and they went bust years ago, apparently the licence has ran out and because i'm the closest to the council offices and they know me, they are sending people to me... thanks... sleutel
It originates from Tesa system Exxx (with moving object). Sold under different assa-abloy brands. Not sure if patent is still valid.
Growster
The D29 is a dealer reference. It comes from a company called McSence. They've had a row with the Eddie Council and have stopped supplying keys. We get an enquiry every few months, without being able to resolve it, unfortunately. The McSence Group of Companies McSence Business Enterprise Park 32 sycamore Road Mayfield EH22 5TA I reckon it's best to just replace the barrel. Should you find a way to get these keys, I'd be interested in knowing how you did it. I researched this a couple of years ago, there may be new information about. derek
if the patent/licence has ended can it not be done on the easie entrie, if you can get hold of a key then i'm sure either lee or craig will copy you a few blanks and save the profile so you can just order more blanks when you require them

Happy Dude
The D29 is a dealer reference. It comes from a company called McSence. The McSence Group of Companies McSence Business Enterprise Park 32 sycamore Road Mayfield EH22 5TA I reckon it's best to just replace the barrel. Should you find a way to get these keys, I'd be interested in knowing how you did it. I researched this a couple of years ago, there may be new information about. these keys were always supplied by a shop called "The "Safe Housing Agency" but they closed down a few years ago, the story i heard is the licence holder wanted a fortune for the licence plus a royalty for every key cut and none of the local locksmiths would give him what he was looking for. for a long time i have always told the customers to go back to the council and they would replace the lock, for people who had bought their council house my locksmith mate would go and replace the barrel. a shop on the other side of the city has managed to get these blanks and is cutting them without a licence because apparently it has run out, i've been sending people there but a lot of these locks on my side of town are on pensioner houses and they either struggle or are loath to travel that far and are begging me to get stock hence my appeal here... from what i have been told the easy entrie isn't an option because of the little ball bearing on the underside... the other shop has helped me out before with finding supply of ex security keys but this is a big money spinner for the person with a supply and i don't want to appear cheeky...lol Les
grahamparker
Try asking if you can buy some, you never know when they might need a favour from you some time in the future. I find it better to try to be helpfull to everyone the only time i wont is if it's one of my own sections but anything else i will happily sell, plus i'm not greedy.
