Silca MH Electronic Key is the latest innovation from Silca

I don't see what all the fuss is about.... 3 letters for you T P X

Why use something like that? A key the same as the customers original key is always best surely? If you have the machine to clone it on to a silca head then it will do it onto a TPX1, 2 or 3/4 won't it?

I still have a load of old heads if anyone is interested, I just don't see the point in them. TPX and a key blank are cheaper too aren't they?

Tpx1 and 2 are definately better and cheaper, but when cloning id46 the rw4 is so much quicker and simpler using the mh heads rather than tpx3/4.

Also if using the internet for decoding sometimes there are internet/server issues so the rw4 saves that problem

unless you have the tpx and tph cloner modules.

Every machine has its own merits and i have the zedbull and rw4 but i am also considering buying another as what

one machine cannot do another can.The miraclone can copy 8c and the bianchi machine seems to be making big

advances in technology.

No you do not need internet for cloning just use the snoop device.

1. read original key

2. insert snoop to reset.

3. got to car with snoop and insert/turn ignition on twice.

4. read snoop

5. read original key

6. wait untill decoded.

7. program head then cut blade.

Usually takes no longer than 10 minutes max.

am I reading that right? with these heads, you dont need the internet for the id46 cloning? I have an AD900

you don't need the internet for both silca & keyline stand alone cloners, but I think you still need the internet to do them via the AD900.

Well, haviong an AD900 and having to use the internet either way, I'll still sat i dont see the point in them. The customer is more likely to want to pay for a key that looks original I think.

Well i have been cutting and programming transponder keys from early 1995 and i have not yet had a customer complain

or ask for a key that looks like the original. You do get the odd "that's a funny looking key".

As long as it works and is at a reasonable price then i have found customers (especially the motor trade) are more

concerned about the cost more than how a key looks.

keyline tk100 heads are less than a tenner, not really an argument.

I agree with Graham. I had an ad900 but sold it because the tk heads & blades had become a sensible price, so it was a no brainer, small stock of heads along with various blades a no fuss solution.

Since selling the AD900 I haven't had anyone turn down a key because of its looks.

Hi,

How many times Silca MH is rewritable?

This was the reply i recieved from Lee at Silca regarding the MH heads.

Hi Graham,

Yes you can only write 3 times to the MH. Unfortunately we have to do this to prevent the Chinese reverse engineering the system. However, it's the device that remembers not the head so you can write another 3 times from a different RW4+.

Hope this helps.
