Gray
I'm after a screw in pin for a Rolex strap, can anyone help please?
Lee
I have one grey, but don't really want to get rid of it in all honesty Rolex spares are valuable! if its personal I'd let you have one but if its for a customer I'd rather not lose it. Gray
It's for a customer, I could have lied and said it was personal but that would'nt be fair play. Never mind I'll see if he can afford to loose a link

Gray
He hasn't collected the watch yet, I'm beginning to suspect it is not the £8k rolex I thought it was, but just a copy. It's been here a couple of weeks now.

Lee
fake, Rolex never engrave the backs & the brushed part in the centre is always polished.

Lee
besides you wouldn't have needed that pin in a genuine Rolex! they put a sealent a bit like locktight on the threads. Lee
Gray
OK! lesson on how too spot a fake Rolex learnt. Thanks. I'll tell him it's a fake when he comes in for it to see his reaction just in case he don't know and he has paid £££££'s for it

Lee
There could be exceptions (there usually is) But the centre brushed bit, as in the photo is nearly always polished especially on the Daytona that this watch is trying to be & not engraved. Even an engraved sea dweller (I Believe, I'd like to see a picture!) is polished in the centre with the engraving around the outside edge????? & its not skew wiff Lee
Gray
I don't really care now. I could still buy a decent car or motorbike for that money rather than ponce about with a fancy watch on my wrist.
Lee
However a year later you could sell your car or motorbike for 1/2 what you paid for it. a Rolex will be worth what you paid for it.......
Gray
It wouldn't have given me that much enjoyment as a decent car or motorbike would. I could just dial 123 anyway
