StevenB
I would like to take take this opportunity to thank Kev from Charles Birch's engraving department for going the extra mile this week to help me out. =D> Due to an administrative error by a member of his staff, a sign that I needed by Tuesday, in time for a 50th birthday on Wednesday was only just being painted on Tuesday morning... The biggest problem, however was that even if the sign was completed & dispatched, Wednesday was carnival day in Cromer, when the population of 8500 people swells to 50 or 60,000 people to watch the Red arrows & all the other fun. Cromer's narrow streets are gridlocked all day, and many couriers simply don't come anywhere near, so there was no guarantee I'd get the sign in time. For this reason, Kev took it upon himself to correct the original oversight & ensure I got the sign in time by personally delivering it to me, a round trip of some 300 miles (meeting me at about 9pm, somewhere in deepest mid Norfolk, with a 3 hour return drive back to Leeds...). I don't think he's planning to make a habit of this, but as my customer was on the edge of tears (of happiness) when she saw the sign, it was certainly worth it. =D> =D> =D> \:D/ \:D/ \:D/
