slippy
Cut a TP05SAA1P for a Saab the other day. Ran through the process of ensuring it coded before cutting Etc, all happy. Customer tried it in the car, INCORRECT KEY. Ran through the process again, Still INCORRECT KEY. Spoke to the supplier, Apparently this is a fault with Saab and not the key. They also said the ariel around the ignition is in the wrong place and doesn't always detect the code in a clone chip & I should still charge the customer as it isn't a faulty key. There are 2 suppliers that I know of who know of this fault but they an't tellin us until they have too, as one of them still supplied me. Luckily on this occasion the customers key was worn so all i did was swap the chips around. WORKED GREAT. The Saab chip is approx 3mm longer than the clone. Maybe this is the difference. Longer is better apparently.
k4mrc
I also ran into problems some time ago on SAAB it turned out that it was diagnostic programming not read and write, so dont do any again as your equipment will say successful but will not work? Keydoctor
Its nothing to do with the position of the aerial. If that was the case how come the originals work? Its to do with the strength of the signal generated by the aerial, with the Saab giving a weaker gain that most other cars. The Traditional T5 transponders give a weaker signal than the original transponder, so its a lose / lose situation in most, but not all cases. HOWEVER, there is a solution. I use these, they work fine. I believe that not all machines write to these though so check yours does before loading yourself with them. I use with Tango & TMpro, but belive the AD900 also writes to them, but Zed Bull doesnt at present although im sure they could easily add. http://www.codecard.lt/keys/-key-chip-/ ... d_470.html Hope that helps
slippy
The Saab chip is slightly larger than the T5. Thought that might of made a difference. What unit are you using to program Will order one and have a play. JMA shouldn't really be selling them if they don't work though A bit naughty. lockdecoders
If you are using the yellow belly T5 they will not work. If you use the original carbon t5 they will work. Pete
grahamparker
Hi Pete, You posted on here you would hopefully have the fiat and other 48 t6 chip duplication cracked a long time ago (xmas 2009 i think you quoted), any news on your progress towards this ??? I will purchase the first machine available to allow cloning of fiat keys as long as it is not to any form of battery head.
lockdecoders
Hi Graham. We have succesfully cloned an ID48 chip to a circuit we made to see if it can be done. We are at the moment waiting for a TPX4 chip for this to be released. Pete

jkamboj
I faced similar problem with cloning YM30T5 key for SAAB with RW4 plus last December. Cloning was successful (not really successful, because in my dictionary the successful cloning means, the key should start the car after cloning). Did not start the car. Checked the codes on the original and cloned key, the codes were ok. The answer I got from ILCO tech guys is that the reception of this cloned transponder key by SAAB immobiliser is very poor that's why I did not start the car. So, looks like I am not alone, JK
ponsaloti
Correct. Common on saab
ajondyh
I have found the only truly successful way with these SAAB's is to program genuine key with Tech 2 or if it is all keys lost I write a genuine key directly into the TWICE unit.
