grahamparker
Problem solved for us,Customer took vehicle to local VW dealership who re-programmed key back in and charged £35.00 which we have agreed settle by to cutting the next dozen keys for them F.O.C. Managed to get hold of Lee at silca after vehicle had been sorted and found out we could have cured the problem ourselves, there is a regenerate 42 and regenerate 45 in the options menu of the RW4 which i had never seen before. Not exactly sure how you can solve the problem with a fastcopy machine. The worst thing is i bought the rw4 circuit board for my rw3 machine from the silca factory while on a tour in 2008 which i then installed myself but never recieved the manual so i hadn't even read about the problems associated with the 42 and 45 chips. I spoke to Duncan at Hickleys yesterday about the problem and they are going to make sure that all buyers of the zedbull are aware of the problem with these 2 chips and how they can be cured. We will in future remove all car keys from a bunch when reading or copying from know on so they cannot move.

lock&quay
Ive just printed off the updated manual ,Thanks Thanks for that .Silca must know who has these machines via suppliers & it would have been nice to recieve an updated manual . mind you I remember the Aldridge rep coming down with my Viper machine & to give me training on it ,He then put a platic emergency key in it He then said "look at this you will be impressed ",The Viper then drove the reader straight into the plastic key ,The whole machine had to be re set ,"please don,t tell anyone" he said .So I immediately told Jimmy at Aldriges who couldn,t stop laughing at the fact the Rep wanted me to pay for a new tracer .
