k4mrc Posted February 25, 2010 Report Share Posted February 25, 2010 had a conversation with an engraver - he says to "sandblast"? the slate - i have actually seen the finished effect - looks very good.. any one else know of this? i will be following it up shortly - will let you know when i do. Gray Posted February 25, 2010 Report Share Posted February 25, 2010 Interesting! You would have to have a perfectly flat piece of slate though to stick the stencil on to. I've had lasered slate from Lasers Are Us in S. Wales. http://www.lasersareus.com/ The slate is painted black or so it would seem and then lasered through.
