kobblers
Does anyone know what sort of insole I need to negate the burning sensation I've been getting in my heels for the past year? Cheers, Rick.
StevenB
Sounds like a condition I've heard referred to as 'Policeman's Heel'. Try something like Shoestring's Astroshock insoles or something similar. And try to avoid footwear with a pronounced honeycomb pattern to the heel block, particularly if the inner soles are getting thin. I think. Michael
I've had this for a couple of years now Facitar plantitis- or some thing like that, policemans heel is easier I haven't found anything that cushions it that well, the only thing that stopped mine hurting for a while was stretching exercises. Whenever your sitting down stretch your toes back so it stretches the arch of the foot, 2 or 3 times a day is good if poss, especially 1st thing in morning and at night. Doctors will offer you cortizone injections straight into heel, which I've heard is a rather large needle and bloody well hurts.Over time cortizone rots ligaments so I would only do this as a last resort and it only masks the pain, exercises will help it heal! Gingerbas
You've got what's called plantar fasciitis. Get your GP to refer you to your local orthotic or podiatry dept. They will make custom insoles for this. We have seen a big increase in this.
