kobblers
Unless the sas are guaranteed to be extremely hard wearing or give great slip resistance then what's the point in having them put on Btw, anyone want any red Vibram pointed sas? Used one pair Rick.
Hugh-Candoit (ENG)
They are ideal for extra light shoes, particularly if they have very thin leather soles, these SAS then make the soles water resistant and give anti slip properties as well as preserving the shape of the shoes. I used them for many years, not without their problems but if you are prepared to replace them periodically then they are good. A heavier SAS makes the light shoe look a bit "Clumpy". Difficult to explain to the customer though when they keep coming back because of poor wear. And as has been commented on.... they can prove a little difficult to stick. I like them for my own shoes but some customers can be a pain.
windycity
thanks chaps if you want good thin1.8mm sas you can't beat vibram for wear and their sticking power. but the ones i have been after are really thin they had a mesh type finish and the gluing side needed no scourering i have a feeling they might have been spanish which will mean they are from italy. so if anyone rembers this product let me know. ta
