Yankee Wax problems

Recommended Posts

This is for your information and to hopefully stop some calls we are getting lately.

I dont know what has happened to yankee wax lately but it is different and causing problems with brushes on machines, I've also been told it doesnt melt the way it used to either. What we have found over the last couple of months is that customers have been ringing saying there is something wrong with their brushes, when they apply wax it is balling up and sticking to the hairs in big lumps. This has been found to be a problem with the wax rather than the brushes and more and more repairers are experiencing this now.

As i dont know anything about yankee wax perhaps someone here can shed more light and find out what has happened?

Same problem happened over 12 years ago( could be up to 20), another company (I think it was F.Ball) made an alternative to satisfy all the users of Yankee Wax that were complaing in masses. Yankee wax was soon altered back to something like the original formula.(I was involved in the testing of the Wax at that time).

Is there not an alternative nowadays?
