Davenport Burgess website

Recommended Posts

Hi all, sorry you have had problems getting through to us. We have recently had a new phone system and new computers installed. There was half a day where the computers were totally down and we have been inundated with orders. We are now back to normal. We have been checking emails as quick as we can. Just to reiterate the main email address is sales@davenport-burgess.com

If anyone needs to send an email to me chris@davenport-burgess.com I will get back to you as soon as is possible. Our phone lines are open Mon to Fri 9am till 12.30pm then 1.30pm till 5pm(4.45pm on Fridays). An answer machine is in operation outside these hours. We do have one person covering the phone lines between 12.30pm and 1.30pm but as you can appreciate with 6 phone lines we cannot always answer all calls during this period. The website is currently being tested and once this is complete should be going live, probably in a few months time. Any further questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks. :)

Fri 9am till 12.30pm
Just took me 4 attempts over 23 minutes to get through between 11.59 & 12.22, I appreciate your busy but so am I!

I for one find this a little irritating! Chris if I use the Email you have given, is this checked regularly enough for me to know my order will be processed for a speedy delivery or just once a day or so?

Lee

Davenports are still there , and seem to be extremely busy at the moment , after several attempts to contact them by phone , fax and email , with no response , i resorted to doing the 40 mile round trip to visit there trade counter to collect an order we were getting desperate for .

The nice young lady on the counter was very helpfull , even managed to find a key we knew they stocked even if it no longer appears in the latest book , only downside was a couple of Pre Cut Gibbons still apppear to be out of stock , and much to my horror no stock on Yax 1 , last order they were out of UL2 , had to order elsewhere .

Hopefully service will get back to normal in the near future , plus point was the nice lady on the trade counter gave me a copy of the New DB accessory book , said we should have had one in the post ,but may have ben delayed, fully illustrared , nice photos , some great new lines we never even knew about , but then again we have never seen a rep so how would we know . New rep covering Midlands area now , so who knows he may pay us a visit , especially if one of the many DB forum viewers read this ! .

Sorry you have had problems getting through to us lately.

We have been very busy yes but we are still here and working as hard and fast as we possibly can. We have been getting a very large amount of phone calls, faxes and emails for weeks now. We always endeavour to get back to people as soon as we can. I can only apologise if we haven't been giving the high level of service that we aim to do.

Lee, I took an order from you yesterday on the telephone. Was this then when you say it took you ages to get through to us?

Can you give me some feedback on this please as we have recently had a new phone system installed. Is the phone ringing out or do you get an engaged tone? We have six phone lines in here and 4 people answering calls and inputting orders so the phone is always ringing in the office.

The main email is sales@davenport-burgess.com We do check this as regularly as we can(every day) but if you want to personally email me chris@davenport-burgess.com please feel free to do so. I do have my email open all day and will respond as soon as I can, obviously phone calls, orders, queries etc permitting.

To the people who have mentioned sales reps. Yes we have several sales reps and one who covers the Suffolk area. If you email your details I will pass them on to the relevant representative, who will then contact you in due course. SM Multi please can you be more specific on when you tried to contact us and give us your account number etc so I can look into this as I don't believe we received an order. Thanks.

Hope this answers the questions and I must now get back to my job. :)

Thanks for getting back to us all on the Forum Chris , puts everyones mind at rest to know you are still there to help us all .

Seems a word in the right ear pays dividends , had a visit from yout new rep Tom today , sadly i was not in the shop when he called unannounced , but my wife says he was "a very nice man" , obviously we did not need an order this time , but he has given us a date when he will call again .

Looks like the "Power of the Forum " has worked again :D

I assume you mean Bob Horton our new Midlands representative?

If you need him to come in and see you again on a specific date let me know and I'll try and sort it out for you.

If you could let me know details of what happened with you contacting us it would be much appreciated. If there is a problem then in order to sort it out we need to be told about it. I can see you placed an order with Charlotte in trade but am not aware of any other communication we received from you. Thanks.

I went to Davenports trade counter on Tuesday and can certainly have no complaints about their service 8)

My order was dealt with quickly and I found it to be spot on.

I think the only thing they were out of stock of was YAX1 as smultiservices said. But thats no big deal because they work off 1A's anyway.

Yax1 will work off a 1a , but customers always like to see roughly the same shape as a repalcement key , especially when part of a bunch , and we get an extra £ for this , same as Rot1 WAG1 etc , but then again we only charge £1.99 for a standard 1A .

local harware shops keep our prices held down , but do not carry the range of keys we do , now expanded to 14 full boards , they always try us first now as they know there is a good chance we have what they want .
