ironplanet uk900
I didn't think they'd been making them for a long time, I brought a boat load from Chris Wilson a couple of years ago at his open day very cheap. But to be honest Rick they are not the greatest, so I won't be missing them.

I agree, the finish of these over priced molded soles was awful, A good replacement for this style of product is the Mr. Elf Finegrip
bristolcobbler
i also like using the different elf soles but do you notice that most of the time you have to use a gents sole for ladies as alot of the time the ladies elf soles aint long enough upto other companies stick on soles. i mentioned this to our rep and he said he would have a word to see if they could make them longer.some of the womens feet know are bigger than the gents

kobblers
bostik 6092 i've tried loads of others over the years and never found a neoprene adhesive that's as good an all rounder as 6092. i have noticed though that if you presolution that it doesn't seem to stick as well of late, i have to put another coat on which negates presolutioning dunno if they've changed the compound or what what do you use? rick. Auto Key Wizard
i have noticed though that if you pre-solution that it doesn't seem to stick as well of late, dunno if they've changed the compound or what Pre-solutioned materials sounds like you were a Minit employee at some point. Adhesive properties have changed a lot over the years, & not really for the better! They used to contain solvents before some clever Jobsworth in the EU reckoned water was a better way to go. keithm
I used to prefer using Fussells Mini-Rib. Verey flexible, stiched well and made a great looking repair on welted footwear for those that wanted it, lasted ages too! Not sure if they're still made though Keith

ironplanet uk900
They were to soft, and I would have only used them on welted shoes with Middle soles, They were not very hard wearing by any means. They didn't trim very neatly either. I don't miss em, if they were that good they'd be still making them.
keithm
Ah yes, but for a customer wanting flexibility and comfort, it fits the bill. It also had an element of grip, another customer requirement. I agree with the finish though, twas poor on a trimmer, soon rectified with a tickle on a mini band.
