grahamparker Posted January 3 Report Share Posted January 3 To be fair to SKS we have had the bits fall of mortice and rim keys while cutting from all suppliers. Most are from RST anyway. Even with new cutters and doing 1/4 to 1/2 cut each time. I change my mortice cutter on average every 2-3 months still makes no difference. You sometimes just touch the bit with the cutter and it will fall off. The SKS Brass ER-5G had a slightly thicker stem next to the shoulder stopping full entry into the curtain.
