Jontheshoe
Hi guys , just had a customer ask for 20 of these old gibbons keys , this has been cut from a legge blank I think but would prefer to get them pre cut , however not sure of the code , A1/6-b1/6 , can’t find any old catalogs with them all in to nail it down, any help appreciated. Auto Key Wizard
I'd be surprised that the Legge R Series blank would even enter the keyway
Jontheshoe
Thanks ,big help ,saves faffing about for an hour or so cutting them from a blank
grahamparker
The Legge blank will fit because the keyway will be worn really badly. If they want 20 keys for this lock it wont last long before it will need replacing they probabably have to fiddle with the key already. (this lock was discontinued a very long time ago). Try to convince your customer to upgrade to a 5 lever BS lock as it will save a lot of problems in future. I would suggest either a Union Strongbolt or Asec (not vital) BS sashlock to replace it that way another lock can always be supplied to match existing keys if required. Avoid Fortress the quality is to unpredictable for multiple key operations. gavin
