Foam for heel repair?

What sort of foam is best for the repair of inside the heel of trainers, and where can I purchase?

I want something soft and durable but not hard and uncomfortable!

I've used cut up bath sponges in the past but would prefer to use the proper material if possible.

Thanks, I do have some thin sheets of this that I use for heel cushioning when making new insoles. Didn't even think of using that.

I'll order some thicker sheets next time I put an order in.
