irrien
Hi, a quick question. Is there anyway to repair the scratches or marks on Barker high shine shoes. They are not actually scratched but the marks are lighter on what would be scuffs? i have the same problem with a pair of Grenson's that are black over red Rob. irrien
heres the pics, they look worse than they are. These are the Grenson's they are an oxblood colour in high shine but the the scuffs (?) show as a brighter red. To be honest I would not get high shine shoes again, but wondering if anything can be done. to make them look reasonable again,
Flash
Appears that top finish coat (usually sprayed on) has rubbed off more than scratched off. Common problem. Not difficult to sort out but may need to seek professional help.

ironplanet uk900
See this alot, very poor quality finish. It's a poor attempt at an antique finish. But everytime they are lightly touched, usually by the opposite shoe, they are marked. Fiebings professional oil dye in an airbrush is a great way to deal with it. But you must prepare well. Take them to a professional in this field to get great results.
Deanzke
Or strip and redye them?? It's like a film over the top with powder sandwiched in between. saphir decapant works well taking the clear coating off
