Happy Dude
As it says in the description, I have had an enquiry for engraving a football team logo on a gallon sized whisky bottle which is to be used for charity collecting. Too big for me and the places in town say it's too big for their machinery. She has permission from the team to use the logo so no problem with licences etc. Is there anyone here who would take on this job by mail order?? Or can anyone recommend a trade sandblasting business I could use?? thanks in advance Les...
kobblers
Can you not use a vinyl stencil and some acid etching cream for glass? https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00Q8N7PAG/ref=asc_df_B00Q8N7PAG56356130/?tag=googshopuk-21&creative=22122&creativeASIN=B00Q8N7PAG&linkCode=df0&hvadid=214522367922&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2362879269454737597&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9046663&hvtargid=pla-347663386982 Rick. Happy Dude
Thanks for that Rick, It seems a bit of a hassle using this method, but.... I've had a brainfart, I'll send her to the sign place along the road and they will be able to make a graphic of the logo in the frosted glass style material and stick that on. Can't see it not working out. Thanks for the help Les...
kobblers
No problem but it's a lot easier than what you think. Apply your stencil, add the acid and leave for about 5 minutes and then rinse off - you can re-use any of the acid paste that's left over. Rick. Michael
Vinyl cutting a logo with fine detail can be a right PIA, you sometimes lose some of the small details when weeding the material
