Cazzie27
Hello Everyone, I put this advert on Ebay before I found this Web page. My father in law passed away this year and has left all this lovely history. I wondered if anyone would be interested. Please follow the Ebay link below http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1555.l2649 History in the making. We would love this to go to a good use for someone either in a museum or be used again in the cobbler trade. There are so many tools and machinery from my father in laws cobbler business he had in Manchester for many years. We have tried museum's without success but still live in hope. We would love them to go to a business who will use them. We are happy to have a one day if we get lots of interest. We would love to see his past tools and machinery move on to a new home that will be cherished long into the future. The location is Ashton Under Lyne All enquiries welcome. Please note, offers are welcome. Monies may well go to charity, but this is really for the brothers to decide. We do not want items to go to scrap but cherished well into the future. Having looked at the pictures of this equipment I doubt if you will be able to find a buyer at that price. The equipment is far to old to be of practical use to anyone and is probabley best scrapped at the best price you can get. Lee
The "main machine" or finisher as we all know it is totally scrap. however I have seen these sold for polishing metal from time to time. The main prizes are the stitching machines. if you individually listed these, you may reach 3 figures sums for each "IF" they work correctly or if you find someone who's looking for a second machine for spares (remember these are obsolete machines) I think at best you might get a few hundred pounds for what you have. Hand tools are always sellers, look in the boxes and draws, it could be the tools he owned rather than the machines that have any value. Good luck. hibsjo(SCO)
Lee
And forgot to add, there's a lot of shoes dotted about. if they have leather soles & a brand in the label & have been freshly repaired, they usually go for more than they are worth per pair on ebay "vintage" is on trend! hibsjo(SCO)
