x minit uk
Just a bit disappointed to read the Chairman's notes, very negative telling us how business is becoming increasingly difficult year on year. Someone in his position should be full of enthusiasm and vibe.

davidkpollard
Sorry to hear you thought my comment on business being difficult as negative. It was not intended to read as a negative, just a statement of fact. It was meant to give a positive outlook on the year ahead and that the worst is behind us, as I am aware that high street businesses of all kinds have had quite a few tough years and that business in the coming years will improve. I am not going to give bland statements like a politician and pretend everything has been rosy for the last few years. I hope that people will appreciate my candid approach. I would also hope that you would consider the notes as a whole, rather than just one small part of a sentence. Regardless of my intentions, I appreciate you taking the time to express your view and it is duly noted. On a final note, I would welcome any positive comments you may have about the trade. I am sure that with your experience in the trade and your wish to show the trade in a positive light, you could come up with an article which could be included in future magazines as we are always looking for trade members to contribute. x minit uk
Thank you for your reply David. What facts have you actually got about the shoe repair trade becoming more and more difficult year on year.? Lee
Michael
I understand David was commenting as part of our trade but IMO i think it's high streets/retail in general, not specific to shoe repairs.
