Ian platt Posted March 19, 2015 Report Share Posted March 19, 2015 Hi all had nissan key today for a 05 micra nsn 14 blade k 12 ignition barrel customers key is working intimitanly it turns in the barrel easy up to pos 3. grahamparker Posted March 20, 2015 Report Share Posted March 20, 2015 Sounds like it could be the switch connected to the back that may be the problem, disconnect it and try the turning it with a screwdriver to see if it does the same when not connected. Autotechnix Posted March 20, 2015 Report Share Posted March 20, 2015 Like Graham said it will be the ignition back switch causing the problem, The ignition switch contacts heat up and sink into the plastic inside the back switch causing it to stick, Nissan keep the back switches in stock. 3D Group Posted March 25, 2015 Report Share Posted March 25, 2015 Just a pointer. Nissan replace a lot of these under a recall. Check that the car has not been recalled for the ignition fault.
