theleathershop
went over from Ireland to the show, first time at anything like this before and found it a great experience. Really informative. Made a good few new connections so a big thumbs up from me! \:D/
petercoulson
Yes, show started well and got better. The visitors came form some distance some of them despite the weather, very much a successful show as far as exhibitors go.
robinh
Excellent show, good venue, lousy weather. will try to post some photos later. Congratulations to the organisers who did a really good job.
StevenB
despite the weather good venue, lousy weather. Unless everybody was walking to the venue (or coming on motorbikes), and on the assumption that it was held indoors, surely the weather can't make that much difference? robinh
When the time came to sadly strip down the stands and say our fond farewells to our co exhibitors it was p******ng it down and having loaded the car in the torrential rain a 3 hour journey in soggy clothes is not nice. And sadly sometimes rain does put off potential visitors. Saturday was beautiful and we had high hopes of a similar day on Sunday. Even the people offerring varicose vein treatment in the adjoining room were let down by the weather. But we all enjoyed it didn't we ? Paul_
Unless everybody was walking to the venue (or coming on motorbikes), and on the assumption that it was held indoors, surely the weather can't make that much difference? Actually the weather does make a huge difference. Too nice and people tend to stay away and do family things while the weather allows them to and too bad a people may decide they don't fancy driving in awful conditions. Ideal conditions would be dry but overcast. Who remembers the national show in Kettering when the police closed the entrance due to high winds! That's one way to get a show off to a slow start! I'm sorry I couldn't make it yesterday I had a family commitment that couldn't be broken , (I missed your sweets Peter C ). Great idea these regional shows though. Well done to all those who organised, worked at and attended the show. =D> =D> =D>
StevenB
I was playing devil's advocate BTW, obviously Bristol was too far for me to go, but I applaud the efforts of all those involved. And for me, if I was planning to go, I'd go, unless something outside my control stopped me, like with the aforementioned Kettering show a few years ago when all the roads out of our village were blocked by fallen trees. x minit uk
Although I didn't stay long it looked as if everyone was enjoying themselves and all stands looked really really busy.
