It's a very simple job for anyone with just a little experience. There should be no need to travel very far. Just google auto electricians in your local area.

Ask them to supply and fit a split charge relay for the inverter batteries and wire everything in for you. Depending on where you want it in the back (copper wire is expensive) the whole job (including wiring and relay) will probably be less than £100.

Just spoke to an auto electrician, and he said if im just running the a5 which the power consumption is 60watt, and if im only using 1 machine at a time with the engine running I will only need the 1000watt inverter and not the leisure battery. Im a bit confused now im getting different views off different auto electricians. Just trying to save £200 that's all. Anybody here just running off the inverter?

Sorry didn't read you're post properly, when van is running relay pulls in and alternator charges van battery and battery in back of van for inverter.when ignition turned off relay drops out and battery in back is isolated only to run inverter,so that the main van battery does not run flat . I personally would get the best inverter you can afford but I have used cheap ones but they have not lasted that well .i have run Unicode and bd lazer and strip lights no problem.
