cobblerjoe
Hi People, Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get the angles on dimple keys etc., such as ISEO and Garrison. I have several tracers and cutters with my machine and it is difficult to find which tracer to use on said keys. Thanks in advance. Regards, Cobblerjoe. grahamparker
What machine are you using would help. Most machines require a specific cutter and sometimes tracer point and that is why they have so many different types of cutter. For my triax i have a 113 cutter for garrison, a 106 for iseo and so on.I currently have 10 different cutters and have just ordered 2 more so i can cut the millenco magnum keys. If you check out this site there are hundres of cutters listed for all manner of machine. http://www.foselect.com/catalogue-en.html

Antonio Gonzalez
I recently .bought a mustang key cutting machine ,I was told to use 95 degrees for mul t lock s keys . dont really know what to do. Is there a way to know which cutter and tracer to use for different kind of dimple keys. regards
Lock Stock
Its only really the base of the cut which is important on dimple keys. Within reason the angles don't really matter. 95 or 105 degrees you shouldn't notice any difference on the keys your doing
grahamparker
Angles do matter if you have a full height pin next to a full depth pin, if the cutting angle is to wide the high pin may not drop further than it should. It depends on how close together the chambers are and the thickness of the key and the number of pin depths. My mustang came with seperate cutters specifically for mul-t-lock unless you are referring to the Mul t lock garrison keys.

Hope this helps, for ALL Dimple keys I have used 90o or 95o cutters for over 20 years , for the main reason you can NEVER over cut a dimple key as long as machine settings are correct . On the cuts that are wider , just wiggle the carriage as such when at the bottom of the dimple, and this will widen the dimple always to the correct size . these cutters below are a good example for 1 for ALL ...
