Gray
Question? Iv'e just had a key in for a 2000 Astra already a copied on a HU46T12 read it and came up as 40 Phillips Crypto.. AD900 says No! can't be copied........copy to T5 chip...... I'm confused. So after the customer went I still had it on the screen and thought I would try it..copied it to a T5 chip re-read it and it came up as 33 Phillips with all the right code. Would it have worked? I can get it back she only works around the corner.
Phil Morland
Hi Gray, We've got the Zedbull and that will clone ID40 onto T5 without any problems. Not sure about the AD900 though..... Phil.
Count Muppet
Some say yes and some say no, I have never tried to do one that says no. That would be asking for trouble surely?
St.Am92
I've believe the key needs to be diagnostly programmed into the car.I had the same, read the key, programmed the chip, brought up exactly the same info. But it would'nt start the car.Apparently vauxhalls upto '98 ok to clone and ones with id 46 ok.Those id40 with gold writing on the chip cannot be cloned,so i've been told. 3D Group
It can only be cloned if the car takes a fixed coded chip like a Corsa B 1995-1999. Even from 1998 they started using the old T9 ID40 chip but it works on the old systems.
Bovey
Like Dan says, it will work on a Corsa B, I copied an ID40 onto a T5 the other day on a X reg 1999 - 2000 Corsa B and it started the vehicle. And yes, when you read the key it will show as an ID33.
slippy
Re: id 40 by slippy » Tue Sep 20, 2011 3:42 pm My son's got a corsa 02 plate(id40 chip). Tried several ways to encode, including T5 & T12 Chips. Cannot be copied on a standard copier, RW4+. Need the vehicle and a keycrypt. Just looked at keyline. apparently the 884 will do it on a T12. but not conclusive. http://web.keyline.it/pdf/TransponderGuide.pdf Look at GM & Opel. Make up your own minds.
