Phil Morland
Hi folks, Just cloned a Nissan Primera 1999 transponder key on my Zedbull. ID4d 60, connected to internet and all went well. At one stage it asked me if I wanted to lock the transponder, I wasn't sure so I didn't. Was this right, or should I have done. Thanks, Phil. derek
i'm sure locking it would have meant if you hadn't cloned the key properly then the chip you used would have been no use,so you done the right thing imo

I've just heard back from the customer and everything is working as it should, so I guess to leave it unlocked must be ok. Phil.
grahamparker
All it means is if you lock the chip you cannot re-use it on another car.It makes no difference to the way it functions.

Phil Morland
Some TPX2 do require page locking when writing, it won't work otherwise Hi Tel, You are quite right. Since spoken to Hickleys about this and there are some vehicles that require the TPX2 chip to be locked. They couldn't tell me which ones, so as a matter of course it's best to lock them. Thanks for your help. Phil.
