As a trade company we sell mostly TK60 (ID46). With others people use the TPX transponder chip which can go nicely into a JMA or some Silca keys.

As a retailer we only use the TK60 for Iveco ID46 systems if the pincode is missing so diagnostic programming cannot be used.

And we use for the Fiat 500 and Fiat Grande Punto.

With Fiat's after 2000 Craig is correct. The ID48 is not been cracked for cloning. The cheapest alternative is eproming the Body control unit. If you have the equipment and doing regular you can do a spare key in 20 minutes. As a dealer key with codes and programming for lets say a 2002 Punto can be from £180 now. So this means you can make a good deal of profit. Usually equipment can be made back in a few jobs.

Yes we have done Eprom work on Punto's but I tell the customer we will do this as this is the cheaper option. Some say yes do it, but some say no I would just rather have a new original key. I was talking to Hickleys and they say 2001 Punto ect can be done with TK 60 also TPX3 using ZedBull. See Video

cloning a Fiat Panda ID46 using a TK100 head

I was a bit disappointed with this reply to be honest! On the recent update for my keycrypt pro tpx3 cloning was added & I fully planned to do a comparison of the TK head & TPX3 chip for this job. Annoyingly when I went to do the tpx3 it turned out I had to activate the module for tpx3 as this was an upgrade & would take up to 24 hours!

Never mind onwards & upwards, I did this job cloning a tk100

(from a shop cloner point of view!)

Advantages of the tk heads are:-

1.if you don't have outside parking you can cut & take payment for the key then do the cloning in car, no internet access required.

    2.Easy!

Disadvantages:- Cost of components at time of writing are expensive, in comparison to other alternatives

So this is me, cloning a 2006 Fiat Panda id46 on a TK100 (I left the mistake in to show that the machine is fool proof!)

can i ask a question here?

Why would you want to do this job cheaper than the dealer?

we charge exactly the same price as dealers on ALL vehicles.

as we can do it while you wait(as long as car is available and codes are readily available)

dont undervalue your self.

Audi job last week, remote key, Audi wanted £230 plus vat and it would take a week to order key, car available codes available all done in 20 mins £230 plus vat thank you very much.

carry on!

Yep real shame, I ordered in a tpx3 & blank not realising the module was an upgrade. Similar procedure except you giggle the key 5 times with 5 second intervals, plus you have to walk all the way back to the shop to finish the procedure

I have to confess for pulling info from the car it was handy being able to do it on a "stand alone" machine.

The keycrypt will always have a place in my heart but its certainly handy having the two machines along side each other, the 884 is easy!

Its a pity that JMA didnt finish the TPX3 as it will not do one of the commonest manufacturers in the EU..... Opel/Vauxhall and most Mitsubishi.

Version 3.2 has been reported by customers to allow coding of Mitsubishi on TPX3, contact the sales team on 01442 291400 to organise the update.

The next version 3.6, due date TBA, will include Vauxhall's, as well as further bug fixes.
