Michael
What's Vistool 8 like for vectorising logos? Andy and his Gravo tutorial looks quite advanced, especially compared to Vistool 6 which is pretty pants
Gray
Its not too bad but you need good clear b/w artwork to work from. In its present state that logo wouldn't have been good enough. I tried it.
Gray
Also I may be speaking out of turn here but as sponsors of the site its a shame that UMarq cant respond to some of the questions potsed on the forum.I know the back up is superb and i'm not knocking it at all,a phone call is all thats needed if we have any problems, but I also know the forum is monitored and some response would be welcome. I'm no expert, but i'll try and help other umarq and vistool users.
StevenB
Michael has sent me his copy of this logo. Time permitting, I'll run it through the software on Thursday & let you know the results. With regard to U-Marq's involvement with the forum, I'm happy that they spend their time & effort working on machines & software rather than posting on here. I'm in regular contact with Mark anyway, so they're not totally out of the loop...

Dean
I engraved that same logo on a Brass Zippo Lighter recently. Took a little patience, but it turned out well.
Michael
I engraved that same logo on a Brass Zippo Lighter recently. Took a little patience, but it turned out well. Was there something in front of the main door of the castle? It looked like a sword handle but I couldn't make it out properly so I left it out. Man who picked it up didn't know what it was and said it is fine without.
Dean
I can't remember to be honest Michael. I did take a photo of the job at the time but my cameras at the other shop! Looks like you did a good job though!

key cabin
You would think that with all the great computer minds and computer programs, that some one would come up with a program that could automaticly vectorise any image. What a great idea I may just get my programming brain into gear and invent one
