Forest Cobbler
I have engraved inside quite a few rings now. Speed and confidence is building and most of the results have been fine. But I have not yet come up with a way of checking that all the letters are fully engraved, before I take the ring out of the machine. A mirror, torch and magnifying glass can only go so far. Any suggestions? Thanks in anticipation, Valerie
StevenB
I use a combination of torch, mirror & a magnifying glass if it helps...

Forest Cobbler
And here was me hoping for some flash of brilliance. At least I'm not tall enough to crack my head on the shelf; the sand blaster, yes, but not the shelf.

Forest Cobbler
Interesting. Has all manner of uses. Can you remember what it cost? V
Forest Cobbler
Thanks Mick, We've opened trade account and will be ordering one later today. The boss can see a number of potential uses for it, and if it stops us missing bits of the engraving on even one wedding ring it will have earned it's keep. Michael
I tried to open a trade account with these to get the UAP+ blanks but because I'm not a locksmith they're not interested.
Mick Friend
They are around £100 plus tax I work quite closely with UAp/Tradelocks and understand they have been building up a working relationship with Locksmiths - although supplying blanks should not have been a major problem. If you PM me your details and what you wanted I can direct a member of the staff to contact you - if that helps.
Michael
Cheers Mick I managed to get an account on the UAP website, which I think is ok just for getting blanks as they are a sister company if I'm not mistaken
