It depend on the type of charger method ,To charge the Remote battery (the transponder work without power battery) is sufficent that the field will be switch on and nothing other command from ECU should be send to the Key , So if you are in this condition and Silca's engeneering has been smart , the key after responce of Authentication for start engine will be in stand by to safety the battery life .

But if during the normal drive the ECU continuously send command (Read & Write) the battery Key will be flat quickly .

I'm looking forward to receiving answer from D-power if Silca has been smart

As you sayd, to recharge the battery is sufficent that the field will be switch on and nothing other command from ECU should be send to the Key.

There's only 1 brand (BMW) for the moment that writes and reads continuosly the key during normal drive, we are working on to understand not only if there's problems about battery, but also about logics.

Got my P-box yesterday and have already cut and programmed the 5 supplied heads, yes i know they

will only work for some vehicles that dont need remote entry or have alarms fitted but 4 of these

have gone to garages who are selling the vehicle on and as long as the key works, they are more than

happy. :D

Hope i can get additional heads soon as there doesnt seem to be any uk stock as yet.

Also no blades either.

I have the RW4 & as I have about £2000 worth of blades I,m looking at the Sila ID46 box ,

I would just like to get something staight about this alarm stuff.I have a Nissan Primastar ,if I lock the van manualy with the key & unlock it with the key the alarm is not set of .Is this the same if using a Sica cloned key or would it set off the alarm regardless until put in the ignition?

the alarm should sound when you lock the car with the original key manualy leave it locked for about 3 minutes then unlock manualy with the original key alarm will sound as it should set automaticaly 2 minutes after locking.

On my van if I lock the van with the remote & then unlock with the key the alarm will go off .If i lock with the key & unlock with the key it dosn,t go off?

I would like to know if an alarmed car is locked with the cloned key & unlocked with the cloned key will the alarm still go off .

Plus as pointed out that you only have 10 - 20 seconds to get the key in the ignition, what happens if you don,t make it in time will it turn it off when iserted ?

& can you turn these alarms off completly?
